Ms. Jolivet has performed
extensively in North America and Europe as a chamber musician, recitalist
and soloist and is the founder and Artistic Director of the Crested Butte
Chamber Music Festival in Colorado. She plays regularly with orchestras
and chamber ensembles in the New York area, as well as with The Four
Nations Ensemble, the Smithsonian Chamber Players and The Violins of
Lafayette - most recently in a co-production of Handel's Acis and
Galatea. Her interest in the violin repertoire from the 17th
and 18th centuries has more recently led her to explore and
study period performance practice. Ms. Jolivet is a participant in
numerous summer music festivals including the Aldeburgh Festival
(England), the Aspen Music Festival, and the Bach Aria Festival. She began
her violin studies in England and is a graduate of the Juilliard School
and has recorded on the Deutsche Harmonia Mundi and EMEC labels.
